Put a QR code in your window so passers-by can book
Plenty of people walk past your shop, your chair or your van and would book if it took ten seconds. A QR code makes it that easy. They point their phone camera at it and your booking page opens.
What a QR code needs
Only your booking link. Any free QR generator will turn that link into a code you can download as an image. Check it works with your own phone before printing anything.
Where to put it
- Window or door: a clear sign that says "Scan to book".
- Mirror or counter: for people waiting or paying.
- Business cards and flyers: so the card does the booking for you.
- Van or car: a magnetic sign or sticker for mobile businesses.
- Instagram stories and posts: screenshots work well for people viewing on a laptop.
Make it work well
- Print it large enough to scan from arm's length, at least 3 to 4 cm square.
- Leave a plain border around it.
- Add a few words: "Scan to book your next appointment".
- Use dark code on a light background.
Do not forget the follow-up
When a client books after scanning, a reminder message the day before keeps them coming. Otherwise the code gets people in once and then you are back to chasing.
The takeaway
A QR code costs almost nothing and works around the clock. Bookable gives you the booking page it points to, with times that update as the diary fills.
